Agent

در مدیریت سیستم‌ها، کاربری که برای یک تعامل خاص، نقش عاملی را بر عهده گرفته است.

1. n. نهادی که یک یا چند شی مدیریت شده را با (الف) ارسال اعلان‌های مربوط به اشیاء و (ب) رسیدگی به درخواست‌های مدیران برای عملیات مدیریت برای اصلاح یا پرس و جو اشیاء نشان می‌دهد.
2. n. سیستمی که نقش عامل را بر عهده می‌گیرد.
3. n. نرم افزاری که از طرف یک کاربر در هنگام انجام وظایف در یک برنامه کاربردی عمل می کند. یک عامل ممکن است هم روی کلاینت و هم روی سرور اجرا شود.
